Twin is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect
Email address and password (for your account)
Display name, bio, and avatar emoji (your profile)
Quiz answers and derived personality traits (5 scores + tags)
Match history and connection status
Posts you create in the Moments feed
App usage data (pages visited, features used)
What we do NOT collect
Real name or government ID (unless you use age verification)
Phone number
Location beyond the city you choose to share
Photos or videos
Payment information (handled by Stripe, never stored by us)
Why we collect it

We process your data to provide the Twin service — specifically to build your AI twin, find compatible matches, and show you the Moments feed. We rely on legitimate interest and your consent as our lawful basis under UK GDPR.

Who we share it with

We share data with Supabase (database hosting, EU servers), Anthropic (AI processing — only your personality profile, no personal details), and Vercel (app hosting). We never sell your data to advertisers or third parties.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Chat history is session-only and never stored permanently.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, object to processing, and data portability. Exercise these rights from Profile → Data & Privacy, or email privacy@twin.app

We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
